District 62 - Hammond

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) proposes to make
roadway improvements at twenty two (22) various intersections in St. Tammany and
Tangipahoa Parishes (Table 1 and Figure 1). The proposed work is to construct new and/or
enhance concrete curbing/ islands/striping at intersections to improve safety. All work will be
within the existing right-of-way within limits of the paved road.

Associated work will consist of removal of one structure (pinned mountable curb with
delineators), temporary signs/barricades, application of four inch plastic thermoplastic
pavement striping (solid white, solid yellow, white gore), application of eight inch white
thermoplastic striping, and application of white or yellow paint to curbs.

Access will be maintained for all businesses at all times. Business access shall be marked with
blue cones and blue business access signs. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction between the hours of 7-9 am and 2:30 – 5:30 pm on school days. There will be no complete road closures associated with the project.
