DOTD Police is hiring! Our agents are visiting college campuses and career fairs throughout the state in search of the next generation of DOTD Enforcement Agents.
At DOTD Police, we seek highly qualified candidates with exceptional work ethic and character. We provide all necessary equipment for a successful career, including fully marked units, uniforms, firearms and ballistic vests. Every agent receives training and maintains their POST certification throughout their employment.
The hiring process is thorough and can take up to three months. To be considered, applicants must meet several requirements. Those who are not POST certified must complete the 2100 Protective Service Exam with a minimum score of 70%. POST-certified applicants are exempt from the Civil Service Test.

Minimum Qualifications
DOTD Enforcement Cadet
- Annual Salary minimum: $35,004 - $70,845
- No experience or training is required
- NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and have a current driver's license.
DOTD Enforcement Agent
- Annual Salary Range: $40,081.60 - $81,099.20
- One year of weights and standards law enforcement experience as a POST certified peace officer; OR
Two years of law enforcement experience as a POST certified peace officer.
DOTD Enforcement Senior Agent
- Annual Salary Range: $44,241.60 - $86,777.60
- Two years of weights and standards law enforcement experience as a POST certified peace officer; OR
Three years of law enforcement experience as a POST certified peace officer commissioned with the power of arrest.
