Office of Chief Auditor

The Office of the Chief Auditor exists to support the overall mission, goals, and operations of the Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development (DOTD). The services provided by the Office of Audit allow executive management to attest to the various federal and state agencies that the monies provided to DOTD were expended in accordance with applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and provisions of contracts. 

 

The Office of Audit is composed of the following units:

 

Internal Audit - Responsible for providing independent and objective analysis, reviews, and assessments of DOTD's business activities, operations, financial systems, and internal controls.

 

External Audit/Pre-Contract – Responsible for pre-contract work including indirect cost rate audits and reviews, consultant labor rate submittals, and assists with special projects or other Departmental reviews such as inventory or petty cash.

 

External Audit/Post Contract -Responsible for providing support for contract compliance regarding DOTD professional services (consultant) contracts, and utilities and railroad agreements, and Utility Relocation Assistance Funding Requests (URAF), as well as special projects or other Departmental reviews such as inventory or petty cash.
