I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge

Description: 

This project extends from the I-10/I-210 interchange to the I-10/Ryan Street exit ramp and aims to relieve congestion, improve travel time reliability, improve safety and enhance multimodal connectivity. Despite the implementation of a number of projects to rehabilitate the existing I-10 Calcasieu River Bridge, the existing bridge is not expected to be able to effectively handle projected traffic growth, nor address identified safety and mobility deficiencies. As such, this project will build a new bridge to the north of the existing bridge. The existing bridge will be demolished once the new bridge is open to traffic.
