OPEN HOUSE PUBLIC MEETING

LA 3040: 600’ S HOLLYWOOD RD – LA 24

TERREBONNE PARISH

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) will conduct an open house public meeting for the proposed LA 3040: 600’ S HOLLYWOOD RD – LA 24 project. The project proposes construction of medians with openings for control of access along LA 3040 from 600 ft passed its intersection with S Hollywood Rd northward to LA 24, and constructing several U-Turns within the corridor. The purpose and need of the project is to improve safety by limiting the number of right-angle conflict points along LA 3040, improve traffic flow, and provide vehicles a safe place to queue when making a left turn or J-Turn at the median openings. 

The purpose of the meeting is to provide information about the project and to obtain input from interested parties. There will be a continuous multi-media presentation during the meeting and additional project information will be available. Representatives from LADOTD will be available at the open house to answer questions and discuss issues related to the project. 

Verbal and written comments on the project can be submitted at the meeting. Comments can also be mailed to the LADOTD address shown below, postmarked by September 18, 2026.
