Alternatives Public Meeting

DOTD, in coordination with the Federal Railroad Administration, the Federal Highway Administration, the New Orleans Regional Planning Commission and the railroads operating in the New Orleans metropolitan area are conducting a Planning and Environmental Linkages study to evaluate the feasibility of consolidating the Union Pacific/Burlington Northern Santa Fe roadway-rail at-grade crossings at Live Oak Boulevard, Willswood Lane, George Street and Avondale Garden Road and replacing them with one, or possibly more, road-over-rail grade separations.

The most recent public meeting was be held on April 16, 2024 and repeated recorded presentation of the alternatives developed and presented the opportunity to speak with study team representatives to solicit comments and be added to the study distribution list to receive future notices.

Comment forms received at the meeting, submitted online or post-marked/emailed no later than April 30, 2024 were included in the public record.
